Puksta Scholarships

The Puksta Scholars, an exemplary undergraduate civic engagement program, is accepting applications for 2010-11 new scholars. The Puksta Scholars is one of the university's "Special Enhancement Opportunities Programs." There will be a limited number of $4,500 annual scholarships. If you have a strong commitment to civic responsibility and high ethical standards and want to bring about positive change within our campus and communities, apply now.

Please note that this scholarship is available for incoming freshmen, sophomores and juniors. It is not available for incoming seniors. Live streaming town hall, 12/8: “Current Issues in "China - U.S. Relations"

The Center for Asian Studies at the University of Colorado is pleased to announce an exciting upcoming event:

On the evening of December 8, 2009 we will be partnering with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations to host a China Town Hall meeting: We are streaming a live, webcast speech by Kurt M. Campbell, the current Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs on “Current Issues in "China - U.S. Relations".  We also are proud to be hosting Dr. David M. Lampton, Dean of Faculty and Professor of Chinese Studies, at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University who will speak on  "Obama Deals with a Rising China", followed by a Q&A period.

Rotary Foundation Scholarships

1) $25,000 Ambassadorial Scholarships: International study at the master's level

 2) $50,000 World Peace Fellowships (covering 2 years): Postgraduate study at selected international universities

 Purpose:  International study while serving as Rotary's ambassadors of good will.

 Eligibility Criteria:

. Must be a citizen of a country with Rotary clubs.

. Must have completed at least three years of college-level course work or equivalent professional experience.

. May NOT be a Rotarian or direct descendant of a Rotarian.

. Proficiency in the language of instruction in the proposed host country.

. Must be available for an in-person interview in late August 2010.

Looking to make a difference in your local and global community?

Performers Without Borders utilizes the communicative power of performance to engage viewers, start discussion, and instigate positive change.  You do not have to be a theatre or performance based student, we love having different perspectives, just as long as you are passionate about local and global issues.

We meet every Thursday at 5:00 in the Acting Studio of the University Theatre Building (South side of Norlin Quad, across from Old Main.)
