earth_110This page offers an introduction to the IAFS program and what a student can expect as an IAFS major. We have listed the major requirements below, with the added convenience of a planning worksheet. The worksheet can be printed out, so students can see what courses they have taken and what requirements still need to be fulfilled.

Students may also wish to explore related academic departments and programs, student groups, study abroad programs, and professional development possibilities.

  • Major Requirements - NOTE: Our major requirements have changed, effective Summer 2009, in order to offer students a more flexible program of study. Students declaring the IAFS major before Summer 2009 will have the option of using either the old or new plan to fulfill graduation requirements. Students declaring the IAFS major after Spring 2009 will enter the program under the new plan. Read more about our new requirements - what has changed and what it means for students.
